Clear rates before launch
Search wider. See beyond the flashlight.
Thermal-drone recovery support for missing pets, livestock, and legally shot game across the Kansas City area and nearby rural communities. Available days and evenings. In cooler fall and winter weather, daytime thermal searches can work especially well. Flight timing depends on weather, airspace, access, and conditions.
If an animal is missing now:
• Don't chase a sighting — approach pressure can push a frightened pet farther away. Note the time and direction instead.
• Preserve a return point — keep food and a familiar scent (bedding or a worn shirt) near home or the last safe return point.
• Text a clear photo and last-known location — include the animal's description, size, behavior, time last seen, and any confirmed sightings.
Clear rates before launch:
• Pet or livestock recovery · 1 hour — $150
• Pet or livestock recovery · up to 2 hours — $250
• Game recovery · up to 2 hours — $300
• +$50 after-hours surcharge for pet or livestock searches beginning after 8 PM
• $100 pet or livestock follow-up search within 7 days
• +$100 game-recovery success fee only when the animal is located
• Mileage may apply beyond approximately 30 miles
Payment is due before the search. The fee covers professional search time and flight operations; it is not a guarantee that an animal will be located.
Primary coverage — north and west of the KC metro:
Based in the Wyandotte County area, with selective service across nearby Kansas City communities and rural areas north, including Wyandotte County, the Kansas City area, Excelsior Springs, Cameron and rural north. Other locations may be considered when timing, travel, airspace, and property access allow.
Before a flight: the pilot must confirm weather, airspace, launch access, and permission for every private property included in the search area, including adjacent parcels. A same-day or same-night flight is never automatic.
Experienced, insured flight operations:
FAA Part 107 commercial drone pilot with about seven years of flight experience, 30 years of professional photography experience, and $1M liability coverage for professional operations.

Good to know: Thermal search support does not replace local shelters, animal control, microchip alerts, posters, or neighborhood notifications. Thermal cameras detect surface heat; they do not see through roofs, walls, heavy brush, or dense tree canopy.
